Community Partners
SMU has developed three main programs through which students, community partners and the university come together in a profitable synergy. Through these programs:
- we develop and strengthen our relationships with our communities,
- we provide space for our students to be socially responsible and civically engaged
- we recognize and value community partner knowledge, skills and experience,
- we work together to accomplish goals that may otherwise not have been possible
Our Community Partners encompass non-profits, charities, publicly funded institutions, student societies, on-campus organizations and social enterprises such as Adsum, Nova Scotia Environmental Network and Community Food Room. For a comprehensive list, visit Career360 and for further details, contact us at cel@smu.ca. We actively collaborate with 150+ Community Partners through our Service Learning and Co-Curricular Record Offices.
